Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American actress, model, writer and animal rights activist. Ali MacGraw is famous for movies such as Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. New York was her home and she was raised in a creative environment. At first she was employed as an photographer's assistant. Later on her work changed towards modeling and directing. In her first two films, she was recognized and was awarded the Golden Globe Award as Most promising young actress. MacGraw quickly became famous following the success of her 1970 film Love Story. She was selected for one of the Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. After just three short films MacGraw was named the most successful female in box office history. In Grauman's Chinese Theater In 1972, she was able to have her name and footprints hand-engraved. She was a part of several other movies, including The Getaway Convoy Players and TV miniseries The Winds of War among many others. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
