Then I'll get a song in my head, and I'll start writing immediately she says. The words come to me while I'm sitting on my deck, playing guitar. Usually it takes under thirty minutes. The pain of Niykee's childhood provides constant inspiration as she develops as a writer. "Even even if I'm not writing about my life directly it is the loss of my sister and my painful childhood are incorporated into my music," she says. The loss of my sister, and the memories of my childhood influence the music that I compose. It's important to me to have a deep meaning to everything I undertake.
