Coleman is a Lancashire native. She attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was the headgirl and received straight A's on her A-levels. When Coleman was asked about her Emmerdale character she replied that it is regrettable not to have experienced a more traditional university experience. Coleman played as Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival in a troupe called In Yer Space, which she was part of during her time at school. Her performance was recognized with a prestigious award, and the production received praise from the audience. Coleman got the part as Jasmine Thomas while she was trying out for drama classes. This happened in 2005. Coleman was nominated for awards in 2007 and won two awards. In the British Soap Awards she was nominated as Best Newcomer and for the National Television Awards she was nominated as Most Popular Newcomer. She was nominated in the categories of Best Actress, Sexiest Woman and Best Dramatic performance during the British Soap Awards 2009. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman was the replacement for Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor after Arthur Darvill left the series she would play the role of Matt Smith. Moffat picked her to play the part because she was the most efficient with Smith and was faster at speaking than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she has performed in television and film projects. In contrast, she's been much more well-known on TV rather than in movies. Eva is known best by her character of Doctor. Maria Santos on All My Children and detective Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami. The former got her two nominations to a 'Daytime Emmy. Also, she got to show off her artistic side via music. Eva is also a philanthropist, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Eva is married to three men and has a child from the second.
